Pocket Watch Case

Have you ever held something and wondered whose hands touched it a hundred years ago?
Before wristwatches were common, a gentleman’s pocket watch was one of his most valued possessions, and when it wasn’t in his vest pocket, it often rested in a carved wooden case like this one.
Popular from the late 1800s into the early 1900s, these felt-lined holders protected delicate watches while turning them into something worthy of display.
Each evening, the watch was wound and carefully put away...a small ritual marking the end of the day.
Would you trade your smartwatch for something this mechanical?
